There are no changes to the 2026 scoring system - points will be awarded to each driver and team for every race based on their performance... or lack of it.


To ensure a fair and consistent approach, all qualifying and race results will come from an reputable source as published by the FIA.


Driver Points 
Distance points:50pts for the full race distance to 0pts for failing to complete the first lap - based on the proportion raced.
Championship points:25pts for a win down to 1pt for 10th place - as per the FIA system.
Qualifying points:25pts for pole position down to 1pt for 10th place during qualifying - as per the FIA system.
Improvement points:1pt for each place gained during the race, i.e. from the starting grid to the official race result.
Fastest lap:10pts bonus for the fastest lap of the race by any driver - as listed on the official FIA website.
Penalty Bonus:10pts for any driver with the largest grid place penalty due to technical or other infringements.
  
Team Points 
Finishing points:20pts for each car classified at the end of the race - as per the official FIA result.
Constructors points:25pts for the first car of each team home to 1pt for the 10th team - as per the official FIA result.
Qualifying points:5pts for each car into Qualifying 2 and a further 5pts for each car into Qualifying 3.
First pit stop:10pts for the first pit stop of the race, possibly due to an early incident or a scheduled tyre change!
Fastest pit stop:10pts for the fastest tyre change of the race - as per the DHL Fastest Pit Stop competition.
Podium bonus:20pts for any team to get both cars into podium places - 1st/2nd, 1st/3rd or 2nd/3rd!

Sprint events

Points will be awarded to drivers and teams based on the race result published on the FIA website... but different to the feature race!


Driver Points 
Distance points:1pt for each sprint lap completed.
Championship points:8pts for a sprint win, down to 1pt for 8th place.
Qualifying points:8pts for sprint shootout pole, down to 1pt for 8th place.
Improvement points:Not awarded for sprint events.
Fastest lap:1pt bonus for the fastest lap of the race.
Penalty Bonus:Not awarded for sprint events.
  
Team Points 
Finishing points:5pts for each car classified at the end of the race.
Constructors points:8pts for the first car of each team to finish, down to 1pt for the 8th team.
Qualifying points:1pt for each car completing a lap in Q1, 2pts for a lap in Q2 and 3pts for a lap in Q3.
First pit stop:Not awarded for sprint events.
Fastest pit stop:Not awarded for sprint events.
Podium bonus:2pts for any team to get both cars into podium places.
