DIUpdate - 3 Jun: Not too bad with the tips - despite typing the wrong L! Liam was in fact 9th lowest (31 behind our lowest scorer, Ross) and Rob 2nd highest (behind only Toby, our biggest climber up 10 places). At the top after Toby and Rob we had Ian B, Louise, Peter & Neil, James L, Nick, Luke and Anne-Marie. Peter stays top and in fact extends his led over Anne-Marie a bit, then it's Neil, Rob (storming up to 4th place), John M, Yasin, Lucy, Manon, James L and Terrie. At the bottom after Ross we had Chris R, David, Simon, Pauline, Niel (our biggest faller down 9 places), Ian D, John Fa, Liam and Lorna. David retains his lead but Ross cuts it by 3 points to 38, the it's Richard, Ben, Pauline, Pascale, John Fi, Dan, Eddy and Andrew. In the Cup Corinna V John M and Terrie V Chris look like the ties to watch in Austria while in the Saucer there are loads of very close ties with Joseph V Andrew being the highlight as these TPs are separated by just 2 points. All to play for and 2 pit-stops already!

DIUpdate - 1 Jun: Well with STR/ANT/ALB I'm going for Luke to take bottom spot this week despite having NOR and MCL. As for top I reckon Rob's PIA/LEC combination with MCL should be good enough for top spot - let's hope I don't put the commentator's curse on him this week!

DIUpdate - 30 May: Wrong on both tipping counts! Chris R was close to the lowest scorer but it was in fact pit-stopper Pascale who took the laurels. And it was commentator's curse for Rob - sorry Rob - who didn't even make the top ten in Monaco! Top was in fact Luke (biggest climber this week up 9 places to 14th) who edged Louise then we had Lucy, Gary, Liam, Yasin, Leah, Terrie and Peter & Neil. Peter retains top spot and in fact extends his lead a bit and is now 14 points ahead (a lead that can disappear in 1 race) of Anne-Marie then it's Lucy, Yasin (both up), Neil, Terrie, John M, Manon, Rob and Liam. At the bottom we had Pascale "leading" Ben, Chris R, Ross, Laura (this week's biggest faller, down 8 places) & Joseph, Pauline, Eddy and David & Dan. David stays ahead of Richard then we have Ross, Ben, Pauline, Pascale, John Fi, Dan (all in unchanged positions), Eddy and Corinna. Corinna takes the award for lowest placed TP still in the cup just ahead of Chris while Charlotte is remarkably still in the Saucer (but for how long we ask as I don't imagine an 11th place in the Championship TP will last long in the ultra-competitive Saucer). Now off to Spain and Turner competitor Richard has already made a pit-stop!)

DIUpdate - 26 May: Pascale and Ian D's line-ups now on the Championship table. I suspect Pascale will be close to Chris R but I don't think she will overhaul him. As for Ian D I don't think he will trouble my tip Rob!

DIUpdate - 25 May: Dick's (partially blind) tips. I say partially blind because I don't know what magic Pascale and Ian D have woven in the pit-stop - I can't see their selections! I'm going for Chris R to claim bottom spot and Rob to be top of the shop this week. Let's see how close I am!

DIUpdate - 20 May: Spot on with my tip for David - miles off with my tip for Luke! Top scorer was James L ahead of Toby, Peter & Neil, Jamie, Paul, Ian B Louise, Anne-Marie and Ian C. We have a new leader in the shape of Peter (up 4 places), who is now 1 point ahead of Anne-Marie and then it's Manon, Lucy, Neil (the week's biggest riser, up 7 places), John M, Yasin, Terrie and Rob. At the other end of the table David "led" the way ahead of Ben & Ross, John Fi & Richard, Pascale, Pauline, James K, James J and Chris R. David consolidates (if consolidates is the word you can use for a gap of 27 points) ahead of Richard, Ross, Ben, Pauline, Pascale, John Fi, Dan, Corinna and Eddy bit none of these were our biggest droppers, that "accolade" goes to Niel, Claire and Simon all down 6 places. Now off to Monaco with the compulsory 2 pit-stops in an effort to make the racing less predictable - anything could happen!

DIUpdate - 18 May: Dick's tips? Well for top spot I'm going for Luke and for bottom David. Now let's see how close I am!

DIUpdate - 10 May: Well I got 1 of the preDIctions right - David was indeed bottom and John M was only 5 points off top spot which went to Yasin ( fine pit-stop there). After Yasin at the top we had Lucy, & Neil, Niel (one the the several biggest risers, up 5 places as were George M and fellow top-tenner's Djamila and Simon), John M, James, Djamila, Ian D, Simon and Manon. Lucy is our new leader then it's the two fair-sex Butlers, Anne-Marie (5 points behind Lucy) and Manon (8 points behind Lucy), Terrie, Peter, Yasin, Niel, John M, Charlotte and Lorna. At the bottom David led the way ahead of Ross, Pascale, Ben, Richard, Pauline, Dan, John Fi, Chris and Malcolm. David is our new leader replacing Richard and then we have Ross, Pauline, Ben, Pascale, John Fi, Dan, George K and Corinna while our biggest faller was another Butler, Nick. In the Sprint Charlotte claims 1st place ahead of fellow climbers Neil, Mr. T & Djamila & Louise, Toby, Ian C, John Fa, Peter & Leah while George K was our biggest mover (down 27 places) although he was pushed by Tom (down 25) and Dan & Corinna (both down 24). Biggest gainer in the Sprint was Gary (up 19). But little to choose in the Sprint, with 83 points covering top to bottom. Next stop Imola and the first leg of the preliminary round the the Cup and Saucer!

DIUpdate - 4 May: Dick's tips? Close but I'm going for John M to take top place and David bottom. Let's see how accurate (or the opposite!) I am!

DIUpdate - 22 Apr: Not bad with the tips - Manon was 3rd highest and Laura (down 21 places, shows you how tight the league is) was 3rd lowest, but the accolades this week belong to Neil (our biggest climber, up 11 places) and Pauline & John Fi. After Neil we had James L, Manon, Tom, Rob, Niel, Mr. T, Nick, Peter and Anne-Marie. We have a new leader, Peter who replaces Terrie who drops the 2nd, then it's Anne-Marie, Manon, Lucy, Rob. Lorna, Charlotte, Nick and name-change Yasin but it's incredibly tight with less than 100 points covering the top ten. At the bottom Pauline & John Fi (the only Route-66 "faller" this week) led the way "ahead of Laura, Pascale, Ben, Ross. David, Richard, Chris R and Eddy. Richard retains the Turner lead (that 277 in Australia has served him well) just 11 points ahead of David then it's Pauline, Ross, Ben, John Fi, Pascale, Dan, Eddy and George K. We now have a short break before Miami - will we see any pit-stop action?

DIUpdate - 20 Apr: Dick's tips? For top spot I'm going for Manon and for bottom Laura - now let's see how close I am!

DIUpdate - 15 Apr: Nearly there with the tips - Ian B wasn't top, he was 4th, but Richard was indeed the lowest scorer! At the top it was Peter who led the way, ahead of multiple F1DT and FEDT champion Rob (biggest climber up 11 places as was Mr. T) then the aforementioned Mr. T, Ian B, Nick, Tom, Manon, Niel, Anne-Marie (3 Butlers in the top ten there, impressive) and Laura. Terrie stay top 8 points ahead of Peter then it's Anne-Marie, Lucy, Manon, Charlotte, Lorna, Rob, Yasin and Laura. At the bottom Richard led the way ahead (just) of Ross, then it was Pauline, David, Ben, Pascale, John Fi, Dan, Corinna and George K. Richard is now 29 points "ahead" of David and then it's Pauline, Ross, Ben, Dan, John Fi, Pascale, Corinna and George K so we have some serious Turner and Saucer performers in contention for the Turner prize. Lizzy led the way in terms of drops, down 10 places even thought she wasn't in the bottom 10 scorers. Neil is already into the pits before Jeddah - will others join him?

DIUpdate - 13 Apr: Dick's tips - getting in quickly having made a big mistake in the last race! I reckon it's Ian B for the top this week and I'm going for Turner leader Richard to lead the way in battle for last place.

DIUpdate - 8 Apr: Missed the time for tips this week but great show by James L (top) and Pascale (bottom). After James (biggest climber this week, up 9 places) we had Lucy, John M, Liam, Terrie, Manon, Anne-Marie, Tom Jamie and Niel - so 5 pit-stoppers in the top ten there. Terrie retains the lead ahead of Lorna while Anne-Marie climbs 2 places to 3rd ahead of Yasin, Lucy, Charlotte, Manon, Ian D, Liam and Peter. At the bottom Pascale (biggest faller down 10 places) led the way ahead of David (a family 1-2 there), Ross, Pauline, John Fi, Richard, Ben, Joseph, Corinna and Dan. Richard stays in the Turner lead ahead of David then we have Pauline, Dan, Ben, Ross, George K, Corinna, Eddy and John Fi. Pool D in the knock-out should be something to watch, with 4 of the top and bottom 10 in contention. Toby is quickly into the pits before Bahrain!

DIUpdate - 6 Apr: I missed the chance to make my tips - Didn't look at things until this evening (Sunday) and by that time DW had hidden the championship table as the scoring was being done!

DIUpdate - 24 Mar: Close with the tips of Nick (3rd highest) and Dan (2nd lowest) - but top scorer was in fact Luke and lowest scorer Corinna. At the top after Luke we had Terrie, Nick, Gary, James L, Anne-Marie, Liam, Rob, Manon and Peter (so 2 rookies in the top ten, another great showing from our new faces). One of them, Terrie, takes over at the top ahead of Lorna, Charlotte, Yasin, Anne-Marie, Lucy, Laura, Ian D, Manon and Peter while out biggest climbers were Gary and Luke, both up 11 places. At the bottom a low scorer Corinna it was Dan, Ross, George K, Eddy, Pauline, Pascale (our biggest faller down 19 places), John Fi, David and Joseph. Richard retains the Turner lead ahead of David, Dan, George K, Eddy, Ben, Pauline, Corinna, Ross and DW. After our first Sprint race Jamie led the way 1 point ahead of Ian C and Charlotte, Louise (180 points) and Neil & Mr T & Chris R & Djamila & Toby & John Fa & Paul (all on 179 points!). Next GP a couple of weeks away in Japan one of the most popular circuits with the drivers. Will we see any early pit-stops?

DIUpdate - 23 Mar: After the disqualifications could Nick now be our high scorer leader and Dan our low scorer?

DIUpdate - 23 Mar: Dick's tips? Well I reckon it's Rob for the top as that PIA/LEC/MCL combination looks to be the one to beat. As for bottom spot ALO/AST is I think a must-have and I'm going for George K to take it - just!

DIUpdate - 20 Mar: A reasonable starter for 10 for DI - Lorna was indeed top and Dan was in the bottom 10, but well behind leader Richard. Great to see three rookies in the top 10, well done Terrie, Chris R and Lizzy. After Lorna we had Charlotte, Terrie, Yasin (let down after his stellar qualification by SAI and RAC no doubt), Ian D, Chris R, Laura, Lucy, Anne-Marie and Lucy, with multiple champions like Rob, John M, Niel and Andrew all struggling to keep up. Multiple Turner champion Richard led the way in the Turner race, ahead of David, Ben, Toby, DW, DI's tip Dan, Pauline, Eddy, George K and Malcolm. 12 TPs out for Route-66 in the very first GP, that must be some sort of record. On to Shanghai!

DIUpdate - 16 Mar: Mayhem in Melbourne! Dick's tips? I'm going for Lorna to lead the way and Dan to take the Turner lead. And how come George has a null entry?

DIUpdate - 15 Mar: Great start in Australia qualifying for anyone with the NOR and TSU combination (Yasin is my pick with MCL, WIL and SAI as well) - but yet to see what happens in the race!

DIUpdate - 10 Dec: Pretty close with the tips – but no cigar! Top was Global Champion and Cup Winner Neil ahead of Claire (top rookie), previous Champions Niel and Rob, John M and Louise, Ian B, Lucy, James L and Peter. John M did more than enough to consolidate his lead and with it his second Championship, followed by long-time leader and previous Champion Andrew, Niel, Route-66 Challenge Champion and surely performer of the year John R (no pit-stops, what an initial selection!), Neil & Claire (24 races and both on equal points, amazing!), Sprint Champion Liam, the great DW, Rob and Laura (like John R, no pit-stops). At the bottom David led the way just ahead of Ross, Lorna, Joseph, Malcolm, Pascale, Saucer Winner Ben, Pauline, Nick and Anne-Marie. Ross (the only TP under 9,000 points) lifts the Turner for the second time ahead of David, Ben, Pascale, John Fi, Pauline, Malcolm, Richard, James K and Anne-Marie (in the bottom ten with world champion VER since day 1, impressive). Next stop Melbourne – who will lift the title in 2025 and become the 24th champion?
