DI: Put-stops? I mean Pit-stops!

DI: So James L and Liam use their 5th and final put-stops!

DW: The scores from a damp Interlagos are in... and we have a winner in the Route-66 event!

DW: Sprint race scored... Actual race shortly!

DW: Points from Brazil will appear tomorrow... Friday!

Di: Could be a decisive weekend for the Route-66 challenge given the mayhem in Brazil!

DI: Looks like climate change is affecting Brazil qualifying!

DI: Now 6 making changes!

DI: A plethora of pit-stops before Brazil - 5 already!

DW: The points are in...

DI: Not long for those pit-stops - Brazil this coming weekend!

DI: So Turner contender Ross makes a pit-stop - and says goodbye to the Alpine of GAS who is replaced by STR. So he's bound to stay ahead of David as they now have identical line-ups! James L meanwhile swaps ALB/TSU for SAR/RIC (or as is now LAW one assumes). Will either benefit in Mexico?

DI: Can Steven lift the Route-66 trophy, despite his mid-table league position? And our leader, Andrew, is out!

DW: The scores are in from Austin, with a few surprises and John looking down as Forza Ferrari move upwards into a podium position!

DI: I'm sad to say that one of our F1DT colleagues, John Ranaldi, has passed away after a year-long battle with cancer. John was 5th in the League with his Forza Ferrari selection and posted a highest score this year in Australia. I know John will be sadly missed by all his fellow F1DT team principals and the thoughts of us all will be with his family including his brother-in-law, 23 season F1DT stalwart and multiple champion, our colleague Peter Lott.

DI: Another Sprint race in Austin - will the Sprint finish be as close as the Commonwealth League?

DW: Let's hope RIC doesn't reappear this season... it causes chaos with the F1DT scoring!

DI: Liam joined by Turner hopeful David!

DI: 1 pit-stop already - Liam's in!

DI: So Ricciardo replaced by Lawson - will we see any pit-stops as a result?

DW: Scores are in... Worth noting that RIC gets the Fastest Lap bonus even though outside the top 10 unlike in real F1!

DI: No scores yet for Singapore - the race for the Commonwealth title must be close!

DI: And for a top score no ALB ideally!

DI: Has Chris, with NOR, done just enough to clinch the Commonwealth title?

DI: And now leader Andrew joins 2nd placed John M in the pits - what moves have our top 2 made?

DW: The points are in from Baku... Only one non-classified finisher!

DI: Next stop Singapore - and the last race in the Commonwealth mini-league!

DW: Remember that a late collision will have less impact on the scores as both will still be classified finishers with most of the race distance points!

DI: Will SAI and PER coming together late in the race affect things?

DI: And no-one has yet posted a 600 plus score in the championship or a 200 minus score in the Turner!

DI: 16 still in the race to be route-66 champion!

DI: Will Aston Martin have many team stars in 2026 as Newey is designing the car?

NE: Pitstop was well worth it!

DW: Scores from Italy now in... and we have some winners!

DI: Will Claire pinch the European title from her rivals?

DW: Points from Monza will appear om Monday... They're not yet available from FIA or DHL Fastest Pit Stop!

DI: Does HUL's performance in Monza qualifying give Phil the edge in the Cup final?

DI: So Neil goes NOR/SAI for PIA/LEC. Will this be the change that lands him the Cup?

DI: Neil preparing for the Cup Final in Monza? In for a pit-stop!

DW: Tie break in the Saucer... But "We could’ve been rockstars..." wins by 1 point using the original selection.

DW: Sorry - scores now in from Dutch GP...

DI: Could be limited time for any pre-Monza pit stops - the pit lane is currently closed!

DI: In the Cup we've got a match-up with few differences. Artocar V Horner's Little Secret is NOR/RIC V PIA/TSU. In the Saucer Ross V Pascale is, of course, the same selections!

DW: Agreed... but he completed the race distance!

AC: My point is, it seems odd to say the laps were completed but in no time :-)

DW: ...or 19th or last!

AC: Yes, you're right. I wonder why they don't just relegate to 11th place ?

DW: Indeed... he completed the race distance and is listed as such on the results!

AC: RUS gets lap points despite doing them all in an illegal car ?

DW: Scores now in from Spa... And we have our Semi-Finalists!

DW: Points soon but it's mid-season break...

DI: What's this? RUS possibly disqualified? I'm still going for Rob/Andrew to lead the way - perhaps by even more!

DI: So for Niel it's a team change with MCL/FER for RED/AST; Peter goes one each, LEC making way for HAM and MER replacing FER; leader Andrew also goes one/one with HAM for RUs and RCB for HAA; Charlotte opts for RUS/STR for RIC/BOT; and Neil goes for MER/MCL replacing RED/AST. Will all (or any) of them gain at Spa? We'll see!

AC: Slight shift of mojo at MER ?

DI: And now Niel is into the pits as well!

DI: Pit-stops galore including one from our leader, Andrew! Who knows what he (and the others) have done? We'll find out soon!

DI: Shocks of the round in the Cup? Luke defeats league leader Andrew by 3 points while Lucy puts out 2nd placed Laura!

DW: Scores from the Hungarian event are now in... And the draw for the Quarter Finals will be made soon!

DI: So Rob goes MER/MCL for RED/AST; for John Fi it's RIC/RCB for TSU/STA; Ben opts for 1 change, ALB for SAR and it's 1 change as well for Corinna, HAA for RCB. Who (if any) of then will gain in Hungary?

DI: And not content with highest score in the last GP now Rob makes a switch!

DI: Two more stoppers - both serious Turner contenders. Ben and John Fi are into the pits.

DI: Only 1 stopper so far - is multiple champion Corinna trying to lift the Route-66 title - the only cup she hasn't got on her groaning trophy shelf?

AC: Oh Toto, what did you do to George's car ? I need to win the cup so bad, man. I want that golden trophy on my palmares like Corinna and Niel

DW: ...and I believe DI has polished his crystal ball!

DW: Silverstone scores now in...

DI: New car parts that GAS had obviously didn't fit his vehicle...

DI: So leader Andrew makes team changes, with MER/HAA coming in for FER/RCB; for Charlotte it's NOR/RCB for VER/STA; while for Peter it's one change, FER for AST. Will GAS's multiple engine changes affect the race for the Turner?

DW: GAS has so many grid penalties for new car parts, that he can only start Silverstone when everyone else is at Spa!

DW: A minor error in the scoring - DW gave LEC +5 points... now corrected!

DI: A couple of brilliant draws in the Cup and Saucer. In the Cup we've got a Horner V Horner battle as leader Andrew takes on Luke; and in the Saucer David V John Fi sees 50 and 51 facing each other!

DW: The winners and losers of the Knockout are revealed... DW will make the next round draw in the morning!

DW: Scores from the Austrian events are now in...

LB: Not the race to have Norris and Leclerc!!

DI: So for Rob it's HAM for PER; John Fi goes back to his original selection bringing in ZHO for BOT; and for DW it's hello to MAG/HAA and goodbye to RIC/RCB. Will any of them gain?

DI: Sprint finished - who knows what the league table will look like?

DI: There will be no predictions for the sprint race - after the last race where we had all sorts of dramatic changes in the table including Niel up 29 places and Steven down 32!

DI: A busy weekend for DW - F1 race in Austria, the sprint race in Austria and two FE races in Portland!

DI: And now Turner leader John Fi joins DW in the pits - what moves has our Turner leader made?

DW: Box, box!

DI: One stopper already - and it's DW!

DI: Potential Cupsets? Corinna, Simon, Phil and Louise in the Cup; Liam, Lorna, Manon and Mr. T in the Saucer.

DW: Scores from Spain reveal those that reign and those that wane...

DI: And two FE races in Portland as well on 29th and 30th June!

DW: Five races in six weeks... DW will be busy!

DW: Points from CAN now available...

AC: ... and both Racing Bulls in Q3 - quite surprising !

DI: And good news for Andrew, Laura and John M - RUS on pole!

DI: And leader Andrew is into the pits!

DI: 3 stoppers so far before Canada - what have they decided to do?

DW: Absolute carnage in the Route 66... Only 11 left!

DI: And FE in China is a double header so it's 4 races in 3 weekends!

DW: It's the first of three weekends with F1 and Formula E races... a busy time for DW!

DW: Scores from Imola now in and the first European League table is interesting...

DW: The scores from U-S-A are now in...

DI: Big changes in the Sprint - Niel up 29 places to join 2nd, Lucy and Eddy down 31 places and Steven down 32! And we have new leaders, Corinna at the top and Pauline (with what is, in Sprint terms, a HUGE lead of 19 points) at the bottom.

DW: Points from the Sprint are in...

DW: Zak, what were you thinking entertaining Mr Trump... I know he matches the colour scheme, but really!

DI: May is a busy month for TPs in both F1DT (races on 19th and 26th) and FEDT (races on 11th, 12th, 25th, 26th). Slightly quieter in June!

DI: Will we see any last-minute pit-stops?

DW: Analysis information should now make sense...

DI: All the pit-stop action at the bottom of the table so far!

DW: There is a problem with some of the Analysis pages... will deal with it.

DW: Should be sorted now...

DW: I see the issue - I'm on the case!

PBC: If you turn phone landscape in pit lane it works

LB: Anyone else having problems with pit lane?

AC: Newey is off (to Ferrari ?). It will be Little Chris Horner now without his star man !

DW: Scores from China now available...

DW: Scores from the opening Sprint now available... League scores tomorrow!

DI: Much too early to be thinking about this I know but how many stars for VER in 2025?

DI: Well done Ben - at last GAS a friend!

DI: 5 pit-stops - will any of them sign Billy no-mates GAS?

DI: And after just 4 races the optimum selections are well ahead of the leaders!

DW: The optimum selections are now shown... does this help?

DI: 5 pit-stops so far including Turner leader David - and stops from Liam and Peter, so pit-stop action at both ends of the table!

DW: Stunning analysis from DI this week...

DW: The scores are now in from Japan... Onward to the first Sprint of the season!

DI: Next stop Shanghai - and the first sprint race!

DW: Five pit stoppers for Japan... fingers crossed!

DI: Top scoring team selection so far - I reckon it's FER/MCL/HAA. Lowest scoring? Surely step forward ALP/WIL/STA!

DI: Or will PER/SAI/ALO/MAG/SAR prove to be the dream driver selection?

DI: My guess at the highest scoring selection would be LEC/PER/HUL/TSU/SAR - not a world champion in sight!

DW: Optimum selections to be updated later today...

DI: Who would have thought that the bottom three have 15 drivers between them and only 1 who would make it into the 'optimum' selection for low scorers - BOT! (the 'optimum' low scoring driver selection is, I think, GAS/STR/HAM/BOT/ALB)

DI: DI the prescient!

RW: Dammit, you've sussed my tactics

DI: Or will Rob surprise everyone by bringing in GAS?

DI: Surely no-mates GAS is the man to have for the Turner contestants!

DI: Closely followed by Mr. T!

DI: And Turner titan Pascale is the first into the pits!

DW: Pit lane now open...

DW: Points to appear on Wednesday morning...

DI: DW has spoken!

DW : DW has consulted the F1DT Stewards Panel for a decision on the unprecedented Williams saga... equal points to be awarded to ALB and SAR to avoid penalising TPs in the Leagues and Route 66 challenge.

DI: Great to see AC has studied the rules in detail - "The referee for the 2024 season will be yours truly (Der Webmeister) and all his decisions will be final". What DW says goes!

AC: In my original post I raised a mischievous objection to the idea of half of ALB's points being reallocated to SAR. This was because, although ALB was the one who'd wrecked the chassis, Williams know ALB is by some distance their number one driver so the decision to move the one intact chassis to the other side of the garage was not surprising. DW says who's the better driver is a matter of opinion but I'm not sure there'd be too many in the F1 paddock who' d think they are on a par ! Never mind though, it's only a game and if DW thinks it would be the right thing to do in this ridiculous unprecedented situation then I totally support his decision

DI: Interesting angle on AC's comment - of the top ten eight have ALB and 2 have SAR - while of the bottom ten seven have SAR, 2 have ALB and One has neither!

DW: Perhaps... But ALB broke his car and shouldn't be driving! Whether ALB is better than SAR is a matter of opinion...

DI: VER on pole - will this help Ian B?

DW: I will reinstate the Pit Stop pages over the weekend to aid tracking the changes.

DI: Will we see Title contenders dumping SAR/WIL - while Turner hopefuls may rush to sign them!

DI: Lots of pit-stop action throughout the League!

DW: If SAR doesn't get to race and kindly donates his car to ALB, then DW may well share any points between the WIL drivers...

DW: Stake have been rebranded due to gambling laws in Australia to Kick Sauber.

DW: ALB wrecks his car in FP1 and renders the chassis unusable... So he gets to drive SAR's car in FP3 and for the race! How is that a thing - it could have a big impact (like ALB) for several TPs.

JL: Well, my score was in the pits after the first weekend!

DI: Djamila reacting to the 22 place drop with a pit-stop - is it to take advantage of circumstances and target the Turner?

DI: And now James L joins David in the pits!

DI: And our Turner leader David makes a pit-stop!

DW: Four casualties in the Route 66 Challenge!

DW: The Pit Lane is now OPEN... Let battle commence!

DW: Scores are revealed... Pit Lane will open soon!

DW: Points will appear on Monday...

DI: Will BEA for SAI make a difference we wonder?

DW: Just checking the Pit Stop facility ready for post-Jeddah and the mini Leagues should make a re-appearance later.

DI: Alpine team and drivers a popular choice among Turner hopefuls - will we see more changes in the first pit-stop?

DI: With just 15 points covering the top ten can Andrew maintain his lead in Jeddah - or will we see a new leader?

DW: The scores are in... But no Pit Stops until after Race 2!

DI: Could first and fastest pit-stop be crucial in the Bahrain F1DT outcome?

DW: It's only for two races to allow religious observance... then back to tradition!

AC: Not sure about this new F1 timetable. Quali during office hours ? Don't they know public sector staff have to work hard these days ? It's not the 1990s anymore :-)

DI: And opposite to GAS we have ALB - the most popular driver with 30 selections!

DW: Spare a thought for GAS... not picked by anyone!

DI: 51 is mightily impressive - and well done to Laura, beating even DW to last entrant!

DW: Someone snuck in... Never mind - 51 contestants for 2024!

DW: As is tradition, I've joined at the back of the grid in 50th place! Welcome to the eight rookies - I hope you enjoy the contest... Good luck everybody!

DI: Answer? Loads!

DI: Will we get any more entries before the deadline - in addition to the great DW!

DI: 5 rookies now - welcome Louise!

DW: Looks like Christian got away with it then...

DI: Two champs back! Richard (multiple Turner and Saucer champion) and defending 2023 Title-winner Andrew (who only needs a Cup and Commonwealth win to complete a full set!)

AC: Not much of a pre-season these days !

DI: Will we see the defending champion Andrew on the grid?

DI: 4 rookies on the grid - brilliant!

DI: Rob's comment suggests that there will be a least two TPs with very similar teams!

RW: For the first time in the years of doing this my first choice was already taken! Perhaps the enforced change will be lucky.

DI: And I see in 2023 Andrew became only the second TP in the history of F1DT to win the Turner and the Title in successive seasons.

DI: 18 on the grid now - including three Butlers and two Blackburn-Clarke's!

DW: 15 on the grid so far... and testing starts tomorrow!

DW: Email now sent with the Keyword...

DW: Not sent yet... Will be with you very soon.

LB: I haven't had an email yet. Not in spam either

YZ: Reminder to myself to enter later.

DW: The Entry Form is now open... an email with the Keyword will be provided tomorrow!

DW: The pages are still all over the place and the information is from last year... including the star ratings!

DW: I'm working on getting this ready for the 2024 season... Taking longer than I would like but watch this space!

DI: Who would have thought the entrance of DI as a driver in 2025 could affect star ratings in 2024!

DW: That's affected HAM and SAI ratings...

DI: I shall be contacting Mercedes forthwith regarding the now vacant seat they have for 2025...

JL: But can you keep up with the name changes of Red Bull's second team?

DW: Working on this website now... plenty to fix before the Entry Form appears... watch this space!

DI: ...and Niel needs an FEDT title to achieve a double double - Turner and Titles in both!

DI: Looking at the Alumni pages it seems only Niel and Richard (Turners) and Rob (Title) have F1DT and FEDT 'doubles' - victory in both. Can anyone join them in 2014?

DW: I hope so... The first race is 14 January!

DI: Will FEDT TPs have to select their line-up over Christmas and the New Year we wonder?

DW: I'm certainly busy getting everything ready... FEDT first! It's all getting a make over...
